MARKS SIGNS CHERNIAVSKY
Secures Exclusive Services of Director of
Thomashefsky's Theatre for Number of Years
The Edwa rd B. Marks Music Co. has signed
for a term of years the exclusive services
of Cherniavsky, musical'director of Thomashef­
sky's Broadway Theatre. His present musical
comedy success, "Three Little B usiness Men,"
j~ drawing crowded houses and the melod ies,
"Oh, Say the Word" and "Money and Love,"
w ill, und oubtedly, prove good sellers.
Cherniavsky graduated from the Petrograd
Conse rvatory in 1911 with the title Arti s t Lau­
reate. Later he studied in Leipzig, following
which he made a EUropean and internati o nal
tour. Many of his compositions are included
in the repertoire of Heifetz, Elman, Zimbali s t
a nd others.
