PROBLEM
Recently we had a problem with a U-5000
monitor that was installed in a Daytona
Special Edition. I wanted to replace it with
a K7500 but was told it wouldn't work.
This person (won't say who) said that I'd
have to trade deflection coils, buy some
kit or some such hogwash.

Being the skeptical type, I installed the
K7500 anyway. Sure enough, the picture
was split and jittery. I had assumed the
original control unit would work but when
I unhooked it and used the control pad
that came with the K7500 - Presto! No
more problems.
