Midway "Galaxian" Substttute +5v Regulator
Used on Midway's "Galaxian" (as
well as "Pac-Man" and others) is a
78GUIC +5v regulator IC which
can be replaced by the more
common 7805H.
Figure 1 shows the physical layout
of a "Galaxian" PCB identifying the
location of the 78GUIC regulator, a
four pin IC.
To use a 7805H, figure 2, solder two
IN4007 diodes to the center lead
and connect to the PCB as
illustrated. (The hook-up pads are
provided on the PCB.)*

Atari ''Battlezone"
Control Handle Mod ______.
"Battlezone" games with serial numbers lower
than 6550 have two short 3/16" diameter roll pins
securing the ball and shaft. Under hard usage
these pins have a tendency to work loose, causing
the internal parts of the control to fail prematurely
and eventually the handle assembly to slip out of
the ball.
To prevent these problems, a 3/16" diameter X
2" long roll pin should be installed in place of the
two short pins in the ball and shaft assembly.
These 2" pins are available horn your local
distributor or by calling Atari Customer Service at
800-538-1611 or (408) 745-2900 within California.
Please have the serial number of any "Battlezone"
game you are having control handle problems
with ready when you call.
