have been sold at a figure lower than any pur-
chaser could reasonably have expected to pay
for an instrument of the quality and beauty of
the Steinway . . . a figure which has not been
duplicated in fourteen years.
But now there is every indication of a rise
in commodity prices which will, necessarily,
be reflected in the cost of pianos now being
built.
How much longer can you buy a Steinway
at this price? We have sold pianos for 80
years, and, in view of the actual cost of manu-
facture, we think it entirely probable that
