UNIQUE MUSICAL
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
The most unique musical educational'program ever
conducted in southwest Arkansas, was brought to a
close at Vandervoort. Ark., June 28. The program
was promulgated and carried to a successful conclu-
sion by Dr. Stephen A Douglas of Aldrich, Mo. He
was assisted by his corps of able music teachers,
composed of his wife and daughter Eva, Miss Pearl
not intended for public entertainment, the buildings
were always filled to their capacity by visitors who
seemed to greatly enjoy listening to the lectures given
by Dr. Douglas.
On the second Sunday in June the pupils of the
different schools were brought together at Cove for
the purpose of giving the public an entire day of
musical entertainment. Over a thousand people at-
tended this program. It was the greatest musical
program ever witnessed in southwest Arkansas.
Dr. Douglas will win his way into the hearts of the
people of any community. His sunny smile is ever
