Stanley W. Williams, Southern California man-
ager for the organ department of the W. W. Kim-
ball Co., Chicago, has his headquarters at 947 Elden
avenue, Los Angeles.
N. A. Bryant, head of the Bryant Piano Co., Evans-
ville, Ind., recently returned from Florida, where he
spent the winter and spring.
T. C. Mercer of the sales department of the Gul-
hransen Company, Chicago, is an admirer of the vig-
orous selling methods of the dealers of the North-
west, of which he was an interested observer during
a recent visit to Seattle and other points.
Leo. B. Schwieterman, an active member of the
Schell Music Co., Jefferson City, Mo., will be mar-
ried this month to Miss Betty Werner of West-
phalia, Mo.
A new activity for Charles Mauzy, manager of the
music department of the Emporium, San Francisco,
is that of secretary of the Fellow Band, an organiza-
tion within the Rotary Club.
E. E. Forbes, Jr., has become manager for the
E. E. Forbes & Sons Piano Co., Anniston, Ala.
George E. Stewart has opened a music store at
610 Indiana avenue, Indianapolis, Ind., under the
name of the Indiana Avenue Music Shop.
G. E. Corson, head of the Corson Music Co., The
Dalles, Ore., has leased a store in the Anderson
Building, Hood River, Ore.
F. B. McCord, Bend, Ore., owner and manager of
the music store there, which has been operating under

changed the firm name to the McCord Music Co.
Jos. Klinemberg, 4915 South Ashland avenue, Chi-
cago, whose store was robbed a short time ago, is
progressing well in featuring the Jesse French &
Sons pianos. Mr. Klinenberg says that these pianos
are the match for the best sellers in Chicago.

REBUILDS IN COLUMBUS, GA.
Reconstructed Store Has Every Effective Modern
Aid to Pleasant Music Goods Selling.
The Humes Music Company, Columbus, Ga., has
occupied the reconstructed building in which con-
siderably more room has been acquired than was
available before the tire which damaged it a few
months ago. Several changes have been made in the
arrangement of the space.
On the first floor is the talking machine department
and in it the newest method of demonstration has
been adopted. Band instruments and small goods
generally are also shown on this floor. A new fea-
ture of the business is the sheet music department,
which is also on the first floor.
Pianos, players and reproducing pianos are shown
on the second floor, which besides the main ware-
room, contains five special display rooms for grands
and reproducing pianos.
The third floor is given over to the recital hall
which associates the Humes Music Company 1 with
musical effort in Columbus. In its reconstructed
form the hall has been given the most desirable
acoustic properties which make it desirable for all
forms of musical entertainment.
