The Automatic Music Roll Company, 1510 Dayton
street, Chicago, has a wide range of choice in the De-
cember bulletin of new standard 65-note music for
coin-operated electric pianos, also specials for all
styles of Seeburg organs, orchestrions and pianos.
This bulletin gives the rolls for Seeburg Xpression or
Style X pianos heretofore catalogued separately.
Music for this style piano will always be found here-
after in this bulletin.
Nine new rolls are presented for all standard 65-
note rewind coin-operated pianos, also Seeburg Styles
A, B, C, E, F, K, PGA and L. They include novelty
song successes, popular dance tunes, all hit rolls, fox-
trots, waltzes, marches and blues. New Hungarian,
Italian and Mexican rolls are included in this list.
There are three new rolls for Seeburg Style X,
Xpression, pianos only. These rolls will not play on
any other Seeburg instrument except the Style X.
Three Reviews of Best Sellers are included in music
for the instruments named.
Six peppy rolls have been provided in the December
bulletin for Seeburg Styles G, K T orchestrions, and
Styles P, Q and W motion picture players. A Cuban
roll, a blue roll and an all-hit roll comprise the "Re-
view" numbers for these instruments.
For Seeburg Orchestrions Styles J and H, new
Styles W and M, S and R pipe organ-orchestra, a
novelty song roll and two dance rolls have been pro-
vided. Note—These rolls will play all orchestrion
effects except organ, on Styles M, S & R. For the
same instruments the bulletin provides four attractive
rolls for MSR organ.
For Seeburg Styles M, S, R, T, V and A DeLuxe,
pipe organ orchestras, hand-played organ rolls, three
attractive numbers are listed.
the meeting. It would seem that if we all pulled
together, we could successfully conduct such a show
which would, of course, benefit not only the trades-
men in the city of New York and nearby, but the
entire phonograph industry as well," was the message
mailed to the trade.
T H E NATION'S WASTEFULNESS.
The total amount of wood used or destroyed an-
nually in this country, according to U. S. Govern-
ment estimates, is roughly 26 billion cubic feet, as
against the 6 billion cubic feet produced each year
through natural growth. Thus our standing timber
is being consumed nearly 4j^ times as rapidly as it
is replaced, and unless strong steps are taken, with
regard to conservation and reforestation, the re-
maining supply will be exhausted within a compara-
tively brief period.
PUBLIC INVITED.
The William V. Crowe Piano Co. held the formal
opening of its new store at 112 South High street,
Columbus, O., recently. In the invitation printed in
the newspapers this cheery message was conveyed:
"We take justifiable delight in asking you to drop in
Saturday to view our new store. Time, effort and
expense have not been spared to create a music store
that would not only be satisfactory to us, but would
meet the requirements of a discriminating public.
We think that you will approve of it. At any rate,
nothing would please us more than to have you come
and see."
