"Decidedly the gem of all song romances of the
records is that of "Robin Adair." The,wonder is
that none has given a musical setting to its charm-
ing story for the stage. This love-story reached its
happy climax in the marriage of Robin Adair, its
Irish hero, to the Lady Caroline Keppel, daughter
of the Earl of Albemarle, in 1758. The romance
was that of a lowly medical student and a high-born

BLIND TO OPPORTUNITY.
A man connected with a piano factory says that
many retailers do not seem to recognize to its full-
est extent the opportunities created by the present
conditions. "The consumer," he said, "is better
posted on the situation than the average merchant.
The retail customer is willing to buy a better class
of merchandise, and yet we have some storekeepers
offering him bargains. Some manufacturers are hav-
ing the hardest time in their lives trying to con-
vince their retail patrons thai now is the time to
feature high-priced merchandise, and to buy liber-
ally of the better grades of goods."
