with Soccer
Atari's latest contribution to the
games industry is its new Soccer ,
which utilizes the " trak-ball" princi-
ple .
The game offers two or four player
action .
In a four -player contest , each
two-man team plays cooperatively
against an opposing two-man squad .
Each team plays with two control -
lable players , one computer-con trol -
led player and a computer-controlled
goalie.
In a two-player game , each
opposing player contro ls one man
assisted by a computer-controlled
player
and
computer-controlled
goalie .
New play action features were
developed by Atari engineers along
with pro soccer advisors .
Players may select a " kick / pass"
option which allows the player with
the ball to kick in the direction he is
facing or force a pass from a
teammate who has the ball.
The " offsides" option limits an
offensive player from receiving a pass
from a teammate unless there are at
least two defensive players between
him and the goal. The penalty is a
free kick .
Other features include an "add -a-
coin" accumulator that enables play-
ers to buy extra time , optional
language presentations , adjustable
game times. and coinage options .

The player. controlling the Ga -
laxian defenders of the Earth , must
destroy a convoy of aliens equally
determined to annihilate him by firing
missiles without the aid of barricades ,
anu by shooting down not only alien
army regulars but by also out-ma-
neuvering enemy fighter escort ships
that peel -off from the main body of
the alien squadron at random .
When all aliens are shot down ,
more convoys re -appear on the
screen for as long as the three
original Galaxian defender ships
remain intact , with a bonus Galax-

The distribution program is record -
ed on magnetic cards for use with the
TI 59 programmable calculator with

While primarily designed for expense
distribution , distribution of any other
amount or quantity is equally
easy - such as income distribution by
income source, unit sales distributed
by product number . etc .
The system is available as a
complete system (TI 59 calculator ,
printer and program) . or program
and instructions alone for users who
already own a TI 59 programmable
calculator and printer .
Hohenstein A ssociates is the
