PHILADELPHIA, PA., January
12.—Following a
score or more years' association with the piano
trade of Philadelphia, Myer T. Hall, Inc., 2626
Germantown avenue, has entered the musical
merchandise division of the industry through
the institution of a department devoted to the
sale of string and band instruments. In the
recently remodeled and enlarged store on Ger-
mantown avenue there has been installed a
complete assortment of Buescher and Martin
band instruments, Keystone State and Vega

string instruments and accessories. The store
has been attractively redecorated and now is
twice the size of its original quarters. On the
first floor there has been opened the instru-
ment department with wall cases and counter
in ivory to harmonize with the surroundings.
In the rear has been opened a radio section
handling the De Forest, R. C. A. and other sets.
The piano department has been removed to the
second floor.
Hohner Travels Now
The fleet of delivery trucks of C. Bruno &
Son, Inc., wholesalers of musical merchandise,
New York, has recently been repainted, and
they flow bear large announcements of Hohner
harmonicas, for which line the Bruno house is
a wholesale representative. The advertisements
have the familiar illustration used, in Hohner
outdoor signboards and newspaper a(fe'showing
a typical American youngster playing a Hohner
harmonica, with the words, "Hohner Har-
monica, That Musical Pal of Mine."
Targ-Dinner Expansion
CHICAGO, I I I . , January 10.—The Targ & Dinner
Music Co., located at 229 West Randolph slreet,
has made arrangements for a general expan-
sion during 1925 and has taken over the entire
second floor at this address. An increase in
space of 3,500 square feet has been made and
the company now has 7,000 square feet. By

business doubled, but the facilities for giving
service are improved in proportion. Mr. Targ,
president of the company, recently left for the
East to visit the Eastern trade.
E. E. Strong Back at Desk
Emerson E. Strong, advertising manager of
the Fred Gretsch Mfg. Co., manufacturer and
wholesaler of musical merchandise, 60 Broad-
way, Brooklyn, N. Y., has returned to his desk
after a two weeks' siege of illness at his home
in Hcmpstead, N. Y. Upon his return work
has been resumed on the compilation of the
Gretsch 1925 catalog, which is expected to be
ready for the dealers some time during this
month.
Miller With Lyon & Healy
C'HICACO, 111., January 10.—Frank L. Miller will
travel for the wholesale musical merchandise
division of Lyon & Healy, Inc., it was an-
nounced here to-day. Mr. Miller has spent a
month in the*wholesale.warerooms familiarizing
himself with the line.
