The demand for saxophone music has created
a demand for an imitation small saxophone
that retails well within the means of the average
person. This is an imported reed instrument
that has a regular saxophone mouthpiece with
two keys instead of twenty-three, the remainder
of the scale being run from hole stops in the
tube.
Drums and traps also fared very well during
the holiday season. There was a heavy buying
of these instruments among the amateurs and

The local mouth organ contests and activity
have established the harmonica as a staple in-
strument in all local stores. Dealers find that
the medium-sized mouth organ of twenty notes
and ten holes is the best seller, although pro-
ficiency usually creates a demand for the larger
styles.

THE WORLD'S BEST
Although a change of banjoists was recently
made in Vincent Lopez's Hotel Pennsylvania
Orchestra, the Paramount banjo is still that
featured by this famous combination, according
to William L. Lange, manufacturer of the Para-
mount banjos, New York. Tony Collicio, an
exclusive Paramount banjoist, gave up his post
with Lopez last week to go with the Rivoli
