Edna]. Allen Phillips, althou g h she has only
been writing for a comparatively sho rt time, has
become very well know n for the versatility of
her numbers and their univer sa l appeal. In a
circular which Will Rossit er has sent o ut to the
trade, describin g the numbers, a short biography
of the life of the writer is given, which says:
" .\mong the first of her songs ~as a sacred
number ent itled 'Hi s Own, His Very Own,' or
Tonsider the Lilies,' a beautiful and inspiring
poem set to m e lodi ous music. It is a dignified
and impressive recitative; its theme unfolds as
gent ly and tenderly as the flower it describes
and finally delivers its message of joy and
beauty with compe llin g- emp hasis and pow er."
The Rossiter organization should find a ready
sa le for these is sues.

The A. ]. St as ny Music Co., In c., which
operates an En g- lish subsidiary publishing firm ,
as well as a number of retail stores in the Brit
ish Isles, recently took over the European right s

England are now well under way and th e early
