Jerome H. Remick & Co. have had an excep-
tionally active catalog for the past few seasons.
This year the popularity of their numbers lias

and his indefatigable work has brought him
recognition not only in the Remick organization,

(i. Ricordi & Co. have brought suit in the
Federal District Court to secure an injunction
against the further printing or selling of the
song "Avalon," credited to Al. Jolson and Vin-
cent Rose, charging that the music of the popular
number is the same as the aria in the last act of
Puccini's "La Tosca," for which the plaintiffs
hold the copyright.

such works as "Little Miss Charity," "In-
