Not content with his discovery of Joe Mc-
Kiernan and Norman Spencer, authors of the
big hits, "Cuban Moon," Don't Take Away Those
Blues," "Gra-na-da," "Now and Then," "Slow
and Easy," etc., Milt Hagen now brings for-
ward another Pacilic Coast discovery in the per-
son of Eva Applefield, a composer of much
ability.
Miss Applefield has already placed songs with
Remick & Co., Jack Mills, Inc., Daniels & Wil-
son and Sherman & Clay, Inc., and her well-
known composition, "Mood Pensive," published
by Sam Fox, is very popular. She has also writ-
