THE
MUSIC TRADE
REVIEW
AUGUST 28, 1920
Important Notice to the Music Trade
L / l Patent issued by the United States Patent Office is not a "scrap of paper"
but is a protection to the manufacturer, dealer and consumer of the commodity
for which the Patent is issued.
C. After the recent World's war in which this Country, the United States of
America, took an active part and by which was established that "sacred agree-
ments between Countries and Individuals must be safeguarded and respected"
it is not to be expected that the Courts of Justice in our own Country will
tolerate the infringement of the rights of a Patent held by us and issued by the
United States Patent Office October 28th, 1919, under Patent number 1,320,224.
Besides this we have other Patents now pending in the United States Patent
Office fully covering every phase of a centrifical vacuum pump for use in con-
nection with a player piano. To our knowledge no other patents have been
issued, or can be issued, on this particular type of Motor.
C This means that you take no risk in placing your business with the Motor
Player Corporation, who guarantee absolute protection to all purchasers and
users of the Electora. It is a decided advantage for a manufacturer or dealer to
associate their name with a product which is bound to stay on the market be-
cause of its patent rights. The Electora was the first of this type of Motor
built, being on the market since February 1919, and because of their pioneer
experience the Motor Player Corporation are expert and dependable manu-
facturers of this now recognized standard accessory to the player piano.
C The Motor Player Corporation is a combination of progressive red blooded
Americans whose prime object for being in business is to give the Music Trade
the most satisfactory Motor for player pianos ever developed.
We take pleasure in introducing the Officers of this organization:
Mr. Julius Keller, Sr., one of the best known
Mechanical Engineers in the Country, who
invented and marketed the first vacuum cleaner
made, is President. He is also President of
Kellers, Incorporated, of London, Philadelphia
and Chicago; Sterling Devices, of Chicago;
Kellers Service & Engineering Company, of
Chicago; besides being Director in other
Organizations.
Mr. Herbert R. Stratford of Trenton, N. J. and
Cleveland, is Vice President. His business has
been confined exclusively to the developing and
marketing of Patented inventions of various kinds.
Mr. Justin W. Macklin, Cleveland, Secretary,
is a Member of the firm of Patent Lawyers—
Bates & Macklin—with their principal office
at Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Kenneth Sturges, Cleveland, Treasurer, is
actively associated with the Chamber of
Commerce, Cleveland.
Mr. Roland L. Stratford, Cleveland and Chicago,
expert in personal and business efficiency, general
manager and Assistant Treasurer.
Clinton H. Hanson, formerly Superintendent of
Kras'berg Engineering & Mfg. Company,
general Superintendent.
Rudolph Krasberg, formerly President of the
Krasberg Engineering & Mfg. Co., Director.
R. S. Hibshman, for years with the Aeolian
Company, New York, Sales Manager.
C The Motor Player Corporation being organized with plenty of capital has thus succeeded
in incorporating the best talent obtainable for each phase of its business and thereby has every
facility to maintain its patent rights, to properly and efficiently manufacture its products and
to permit a broad and liberal enough sales policy for the proper distribution of the "Electora".
