Diego on July 26 the best promotion of the
event was through the RCA Sound Sy tern
supplied by Geor ge Buc kn a m of the
Bucknam Distributing Co., whose trucks
patrolled the main streets.
Les Lo rde n has added the fi lm business
to hi many other activi ties. Les stocks all
the new stuff and can whip up any kind of
a movie program a movie operator might
like. Rents are mighty reasonable too.

ured in a car spill in 1. A. on July 22. An-
other car hit them midship, throwing their
car onto the lawn and against a palm tree.
Neither was injured.
Mrs. C. A. Bla ke, her sister-in-law, and
C. A., Jr., left July 7 for the East in Mrs.
Blake's new maroon-colored Buick and
landed in Winstom-Salem, N. c., July 12.
They expect to visit for a month.

San Francisco office, arrived here July 18
for a few days.

shortly for the East to pick up two new cars
in Detroit. That's the way western opera tors
are doing it nowadays. It used to be one
car; now it's two.
R ay E b erts, music merchant, has just
returned from a two-week jaunt through
British Columbia and Western Canada.

Mac Mohr returned from an Eastern trip
J ul y 16. While East, Mac visited Daval,
Baker and Evans in Chicago and conferred
wi th Holl y in De troit. Evans appointed him
Western Factory Representative.
Walte r Gaunt is summering at Big Bear,
resting up and getting ready for another
busy season along about October 15 at
Twenty- ine Palms. Walter owns a beauti-
ful home down there and it is not uncom-
mon for half a dozen coinfolks to drop in
on him any week·end during the winter
months and partake of the famous Gaunt
hospitality. Herb McClellan, Joe Richarme
and Jack Gut hall are three of Gaunt's best
local hospitality salesmen.
Mr. and Mrs. Gen e C rowley spent their
vacation in San Francisco in mid-July. Gene
is head serv iceman for Esquire Music.

SAN FRANCISCO-They went East as
two and returned Wes t as three. That's the
story in brief of the recent east rn trip of
Mr. and Mrs. R ichard A. Parina.
Parina, who is Western Dis tributor for
Arthur H . DuGrenier, I nc., went east to
confer with factory olF.cials in New York
and Haverh ill , Mass., to arrange carload
shipments of DuGrenier products for th e
Parina western offices. Returning home via
Evanston, Ill inois, Mr. and Mrs. Parina
stopped at the world-famous Cradle and
brough t home their adop ted two and a half
year old daughter.
The chi ld has been named Nancy-a
very appropr ia te name for a darling blue
eyed blonde.
