Industry Advisory Committee
Formed to Cooperate with
WPB
The purpose of the commit
tee is to hold informative dis
cussions, and familiarize itself
with various instructions from
government officials. It is be
lieved that an early subject for
consideration will be the manu
facturing of replacement parts
for existing machines. Such an
accomplishment seems m o s t
likely for early success as parts
manufacture is currently re
ceiving the attention of the
W PB.
A significant step toward
resumption of manufacturing of
coin-operated machines w a s
taken with the appointment of
the Industry Advisory Commit
tee. This committee is composed
of the following men, who rep
resent a good cross section of
the coin machine industry: J.

MERGER OF THREE
LARGE DISTRIBUTORS
Geo. Prock & Company of
Dallas, Texas, Horton & W il
liams of Houston and United
Amusement Company of San
Antonio have formed a part
nership that brings together
t h r e e of Texas’ largest coin
machine distributors. The new
company will be k n o w n as
“ UNITED AM U SE M E N T CO” .
Geo. Prock of Dallas, Harold
H. Horton, Tom V. W illiams of
Houston, and K. F. Wilkinson
of San Antonio constitute the
four partners. The territory, to
be served will comprise Texas,
New Mexico, Oklahoma, A r
kansas and Louisiana.
Post war plans are already
in the making, which will mean
the o p e n i n g of additional
branches over the territory,
with the thought in mind of giv
ing the customer the best pos
sible service at all times. This
merger gives the new company
an unusually strong financial
status which will enable them
to secure an additional number
of attractive distributorships
for this territory.
The three present establish
ments, Dallas, Houston and San
Antonio, will be maintained to
gether with t h e i r respective
personnel. Mr. Prock will man
age the Dallas establishment,
Mr. Horton will manage the
