President Hoover, speaking over the
radio recently, voiced the belief that
America will soon be on its way to better
times.
Today, indeed the country is slowly
beginning to see the light of an era of
prosperity greater than any it has ever
known before.
And in the coin-operated vending ma
chine industry, the coming of Rock-Ola’s
new Four Aces seems to be the true
promise of a better day.
To operators, Rock-Ola’s new Four Aces
is going to be a long awaited friend. As
a money-maker it will stand alone, a tried
and proved leader. News and a picture of
the Four Aces may be seen in the adver
tising pages of this issue of the AUTO
MATIC AGE. The Four Aces marks the
dawn of a new day! For it is a really per
fect machine. It is profitable as well as
lawful. It may be used with complete
freedom any place. It will vend Ball Gum
and have six slots. For every coin the
player puts in the machine he gets back
a ball of gum. And to add interest to the
machine there are rewards. The Four Aces
is a goodlooking and long lasting machine
because of its all-aluminum cabinet, its steel
rear door, and its pick-proof locks. It will
work as operators have always wanted a
machine to work, that is, perfectly. Each
of the six pockets will have its own over
flow. I t will be impossible for a coin to
clog. As soon as a reward is won, the
winner will have to be taken off before
play can go on. There will be no per
centage playing by the customers.
Much thought was given to the oper
ator’s protection. His needs were closely
studied. The result is a machine 100 per
cent safe. No player—no matter how hard
he tries or what means he uses— can stop
the regular operation of Rock-Ola’s Four
Aces. No bumping, no tilting, no upsetting,
nothing can hurt the machine. Every dol
lar the machine takes in is strongly guarded
for the operator by exclusive mechanical
features.
Back of the Four Aces is an interesting
story. Years of experience has proved the
need for a machine that is lawful as well
as profitable. And it has long been the
plan of Mr. D. C. Rockola of the Rock-Ola
Manufacturing Company to serve operators
with a machine that would be truly repre-
