acceptance. The microprocessor
will hold P2-7 high to inhibit bill
acceptance. Credit is transmitted
to the changer in the same way
as the High Level interface. The
Low Level interface will also
support the Escrow Return capa-
bility of the bill acceptor by hold-
ing P2-8 low allowing current to
flow from V UNREG through
an opto-coupler on the bill accep-
tor control board and back to the
microprocessor through P2-8.
While a bill is held in escrow bill
acceptance is inhibited by hold-
ing P2-7 high. To accept the bill
(transport to Stacker), P2-7 is
held low. To return the bill P2-8
is toggled high while P2-7 is held
high. When an escrow mode is
enabled credit is transmitted to
the changer when the bill is vali-
dated and again when it is ac-
cepted. When the escrow mode
is disabled, only one relay closure
is used.
