The TRC-6800 coin changer can drive or enable
several peripheral devices. They are:
1. Bill Acceptor
2. Vend Relay
3. Exact Change Light
4. Cash Meter
5. Talking Coke Option
6. Electronic Cash Audit
7. Credit Display
8. Bill Dispenser
1. Bill Acceptor
Improper Bill Acceptor acceptance or escrow enabling, or
inhibition or no or incorrect credit.
The TRC-6800 changer has the capability to en-
able and disable bill acceptance and escrow re-
turn and to receive credit from a bill acceptor,
through the closure of relay contacts in the bill
acceptor. This changer will support either the High
Level or the low Level interface scheme. Power
is supplied to the bill acceptor through Accessory
Cable 01-12-121 and either Accessory Cable 01-
12-111 (High Level Interface) or Accessory Cable
01-12-065 (Low Level Interface). With the High
Level interface, acceptance is enabled by the pres-
ence of the Blocker signal through Accessory
Cable 01-12-111. During an exact change situa-
tion, the bill acceptor is inhibited by the 1 IOVAC
neutral switched to the Exact Change Light and
the 117Vac Neutral Inhibit input of the bill accep-
tor by UIS. Credit is transmitted to the changer
through the closure of relay contacts connecting
P2-9 to ground at P2-10 on the changer's control
board. When utilizing the Low Level interface,
acceptance is enabled by the microprocessor hold-
ing P2-7 low. Accessory Cable O 1-12-065 connects
this low level to the $1, $2, and $5 Enable inputs.
This allows current flow from V UNREG at P2-
12 through the LED portion of an opto-coupler
on the bill acceptor control board and back to the
microprocessor through P2-7, enabling bill
