SUBJECT
When replacing flipper coils in
Williams Star Trek: The Next Gen-
eration, you may see that Williams
has changed the blue coils slightly.
Then old blue flipper coils,
FLI 1629, were updated to
FL17636.
UPGRADE
Both coils have blue wrappers and
are interchangeable. The FL17636
was updated with more windings
in the hold-in coil to allow it to
run cooler. I assume this will add
longevity. Coil strength in Star
Trek: The Next Generation must be
optimum or the high ramp shots
cannot be made.
