SUBJECT
It has now become well known
that Williams/Bally Midway has
their own electronic flipper. The
electronics are used to eliminate
the tungsten EOS (end-of-stroke)
switch and cabinet switches.
These tungsten swit.ches are re-
placed with gold contacts. The
EOS is now normally open and is
used to give an exact feel to that of
conventional mechanical/electric
flippers.

ings from the plunger also slows
down the flipper action.

most wire and diode breakage.

If you don't have parallel coils in
your pin game, upgrade them on
all 50 volt games. Be sure to use
coils with similar power. And re-

CLEANING PREcAUTION
One major caution that should be
mentioned here is to use only non
abrasive cleaner like paper, or
business card to clean these con-
tacts when it becomes necessary.
They are gold flashed and can't be
filed without ruining them. Also,
they are software controlled, so
for that reason you can't install
them into your older games.
RETOFIT SPRING
Another major improvement to
this flipper assembly that can be
used in older games, is an exter-
nal spring which eliminates the
conical spring used until now.
The problem with the conical
spring is that it can damage the
plunger.
When the plunger is damaged, it
ruins the sleeve and this allows
the plunger to then rub on the
sure to also replace the sleeve and
coil stop all at one time. Part# for
EOS is 01-9375 or you may be
able to use an "L" bracket.
I feel that all your older games
should be upgraded when they're
next shopped. Older games
should also have the terminal
end of the coil facing the front ( 01-

opens sooner.
CONCLUSION
Congratulations to Williams on
an excellent job with their new
electronic flippers.
