PROBLEM
Tired of Rowe jukebox lids falling on your head?
Hate to spend the big bucks to replace the
pneumatic front door lifters? Isn't it fun when
you're on a service call at night and you can't find
a pool cue to prop up the lid?
t
SOLUTION
A small piece of channel steel will solve this
problem. All of our mechanics and collectors
carry these with them. Just slip it over the
plunger part of the lifter and you're in business.
The 8" works well on R-85 through R-87. The 9"
version on the newer boxes.

Taito Chase HQ Static Prone IC Response
Paul Torres, Technical Se:rvice Manager
Taito America Corporation
Wheeling. Illinois
SUBJECT
I am writing to you in regard to your article
entitled "Taito Chase HQ Static Prone IC" by Sam
Cross published in the April issue of
STAR.flECH Journal At this time, we would like
to clarify our position with regard to this rework
proposal.
Unfortunately, if this occurs, the revised Pcb's
may no longer be repairable when sent to the
factory.
NEW DESIGN
FACTORY CoNCERNS
We have investigated problems with the I/ 0
customs used on our game boards and have
designed a resistive capacitive network that in-
corporates a suppressant diode for stabler con-
ditions with Cmos customs.
The article has prompted certain questions from
operators and distributors who own or service
Chase HQ. Our main concern is with hack jobs
done to the boards by technicians without the
proper equipment.
This new RRC network is available on such
games as Growl, Hat Trick Hero, etc. Please feel
free to give our service department a call regard-
ing Taito America product.

Future scanning projects are planned by the International Arcade Museum Library (IAML).
