SYMPTOM
Picture too bright - video appears "smeared" or
of poor appearance.
SOLUTION
Capacitor Cl07 (10 microfarad, 250 volts) bad
or broken off. C 107 is on the neck board of the
monitor. This is a common failure item.
The capacitor will often be obviously bad with
electrolyte leaking out of the bottom (looks simi-
lar to the appearance of a leaky dry cell battery).

Resolder the width coil or replace it.
