Nam.co Shoot Away Rifle Repair

Milpitas. California
PROBLEM
Shots have no light but the sound is ok.
CAUSE
As the rifles are dropped. the mounting
hardware inside them come loose and short
circuit the 250 volt DC lines. This blows the
power supply board. thus the Xenon lamps
(ze-non) won't flash.
SOLUTION
First of all, remove the plastic barrel cover
and repair all wiring and trigger PCB compo-
nents as needed. I recommend soldering the
wires to the boards and wrapping each
board in a plastic packing material, then
discard the U-shaped brackets and install
the barrel cover on.
PARTS REPLACEMENT
Next, with both rifles repaired, proceed to
remove the power PCB from the main chas-
sis for repair. On older PCBs, locate and
replace RI, R77 and REC I. On newer ver-
sions replace RI, R2, R3 and RECI. 100 to
200 ohms wire wound, ceramic, I Ow resis-
tors will be acceptable, and for the full-wave
bridge rectifier it must match these specs:
PIV = 400v (or greater)@ 2amps.
