PROBLEM
PROBLEM
Game diagnostics report: "1/0 ERROR"
I have had a lot of problems lately with the
LM3900 op-amp failing in these supplies
lately. This chip controls the power-up Reset
circuit on MCR system games among others.
SOLUTION
This message can mean one of two things:
SYMPTOM
If this chip fails, the game will power-up
intermittently. A good way to find out if this
is your problem, is to hold down the manual
reset button on the CPU board during
power-up, and then about a second after
power has been applied, release it.
If the game comes up reliably using this
method, then it is a pretty fair bet that this
little guy has died.
SOLUTION
Replace the LM3900 integrated circuit and
you're on your way.
