SYMPIOMS:
We have noticed that SOire XENOPHOOE'S
experience an intermittant lock-up problem
when the game is turned on. The background
appears normal but the characters show up
as garbage with a thin line down the right
hand side of the screen. This condition
usually disappears when the game is turned
off and on again.

SOLUl'ION:
To eliminate the condition completely,
perform the following modification:
1. On the solder side, cut the trace that
cones from the left side of the plated
through hole between ICl0H and IClOJ. See
Figure 1.
2. On the solder side, jumper IC14J pin 13
to IC14J pin 1. See Figure 2.
3. On the solder side, jumper IC14J pin
12, to the plated through hole between
ICl0H and IClOJ. Be sure to scrape the
solder mask off the plated through hole
before soldering. See Figures 1 and 2.
(This is the same plated through hole
referenced in instruction 1.)
4. On the solder side, jumper IC14J pin 11
to IC15J pin 9. See Figure 2.

5. On the solder side, jumper IC14J pin 10

6. On the solder side, jumper IC14J pin 9
to the plated through hole between IC12D
and IC12E. Be sure to scrape the solder .

soldering. See Figure 3.
