PROBLEM:
contamination of air cylindar pistons can
cause down time on this rooney making
piece.

CAUSE:
To solve this problem, one nust first look
at the cause. The air cylinder has an
upper hole which is exposed to
contamination.

expert player can hit the pad with such
force that 20 pounds of vacuum can be
realized at the upper vent hole. This
vacuum can draw dirt into the cylinder
area. This dirt mixes with grease from the
piston seal and causes an abrasive mixture
that can wear down the piston "O" ring and
can cause cylinder scoring. (See Figure 1)

SOLU!'IOO:
To solve the problem, sinply place a small
piece of foam (not bubble pack) into the
screw area, then place a nurrber 6 flat
washer into the screw area, finally secure
foam and washer with an internal "C" clip.

The LS-30-24 joystick has a 13 pin
detachable wiring harness. One end of the
mite housing has an "R" on it. This end
goes on the joystick; it will not work any
other way.
