CAUSE:

SYMPJ.avl:
expert player can hit the pad with such
force that 20 pounds of vacuum can be
realized at the upper vent hole. This
vacuum can draw dirt into the cylinder
area. This dirt mixes with grease from the
piston seal and causes an abrasive mixture
that can wear down the piston "O" ring and
can cause cylinder scoring. (See Figure 1)

PRCBLEM:
We have received several calls regarding
players not being able to find their way
out or complete various screens in the KID
NIKI game. This is usually diagnosed to be
a program problem or a defective pcb, but
this is not the case!
Chances are good that the player cannot
see the entire picture due to improper
rronitor adjustrrents.

SYMPI01:
KID NIKI contains scenes that have exits
that are at the extrerre right side of the
screen, thus if the video is offset or
adjusted too wide, the player may not be
able to see the exit.
A SOLUI'ION:

rt is normal to adjust the vertical and
horizontal size of the rronitor so that the
picture extends to the four comers and
does not over-shoot the viewing area of
the screen. This will ensure that all of
the picture will be visible to the player.

VIDEOBOX
OPERATORS
Now you can use your paging system, back-
ground music, and Videobox as a single audio
system. The External Switching Board, available
exclusively from LA East, Inc., is a piggyback
board that fits directly on the Noise Reduction
Board in the Videobox. The switching circuit will
cut off your background music with the selection
of a video. Keying your paging microphone will
automatically cut off audio from the Videobox or
background music. The low cost, simple in-
stallation, and factory-installed look of the
External Switching Board makes this unit a
"must-have" for any location with a Video-
box.
Here is a sample neter hookup for any
Romstar game.
