Joystick Change:
The first batch of TERRA CRESTA- kits were
sent from the factory with a Microswitch
type joystick; it gives the best control
in this game. However, the left and right
microswitch may get damaged after several
weeks of vigorous play on location. (The
game does get played a lot!)
A periodic inspection is needed every 4
weeks or so for the microswitch type
joystick.
New shipments of TERRA CRESTA have a new
type of Leafswitch joystick to alleviate
this problem.

If you want to change over to conventional
leafswitch joystick, please narrow the
gaps between the actuator and leafswitches

BFAT THE CIOCK by Bally Midway
This machine works on time units {2
minutes 15 seconds) wherein the player has
as many balls to play providing there is
time left on the game. The key to this
game is to hit the shots that add time to
your game; ranging from 5-25 units. Also,
the player can stop the clock by hitting
out the stop targets which are located at
the top right section of the machine. All
shots are in flipper range and flipper
skill is a nust !
This machine comes with three flippers,
the two standard bottom flippers and the
third flipper located in the middle right
of the playing field. This third flipper,
when used properly, can be a big help in
hitting out the timer targets giving the
player 25 units in extra time, and working
your way closer to a special.
Hitting the A-B-C-D targets located at the
far top of the machine gives the player
2x-3x bonus and then lights specials on
the bottom outside lanes.
The score settings on the machine I played
were set at 2,000,000 points for 1 free
game, with 2,700,000 for the second. I
found these settings to be very
reasonable.
I have always enjoyed a machine that
offers a nunber of ways to hit and BEAT
THE CIOCK lives up to this by offering
four ways to hit on specials alone. With
skilled shots playing against the clock
and trying to achieve extra time on the
playing clock, I found this machine to be
a great challenge, very refreshing and
definitely a true players machine.
