Sega SPACE HARRIER Motor Burn-Out
By Frank Rothouser/CUstomer Service
Sega Enterprises
San Jose, CA
GAME:
Moving cabinet type SPACE HARRIER.
SYMPI01: Possible motor burn-out of the
left/right drive rrotor if the proper IC is
not present on the Motor Drive PCB
(834-5801).
DISCREPANCY: IC -7 on the Motor Drive
board must be a 315-5160A. If an "A" is on
IC -7, then that PCB has been modified by
the factory and requires no further
action.
(X)RRECI'ION: Have all your moving cabinet
type SPACE HARRIERS checked for the
ITOdified IC -7 on the Motor Drive PCB. If
the "A" suffix is not present, advise
your Sega distributor immediately.

Tradewest IKARI WARRIORS Video
By Sam Cross

Syrrptom:
Herringbone pattern in screen. (Fine
alternating light and dark shades or lines
overlayed on the video picture).
cause:
Power Supply - this is caused by the logic
ground and "FG" terminal not being
connected together.
cure:
Connect them together but beware! There is
no internal line filter inside the power
supply and this could cause lightning
susceptibility. Add an WJV overvoltage
protection device (rated at 150V and
available at Radio Shack) across the
120VAC inputs to the power supply.
