TROUBLESHOOTING THE CDC MICRON TIMER
h~J;
By Peter Gurko, Kiddie Rides U.S.A., Davenport, IA
The following steps should enable one to determine if the ride timer of the Gino Rondina Class is
inoperative:
With 0v applied, points 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 should be open. Points 1 to 3 should be shorted Points
4 and 5 should read 10 to 15 ohms when the timer is set at 0.
Supply 12vac to points 4 and 5. The timer should start Points 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 will be open.
Points 1 to 3 shorted. At the end of time duration, points 1 and 2 will be shorted while the timer
resets. A slight clicking can be heard at each event The timer will automatically reset Points 1 to
3 should be shorted with 0vac applied
Next month, we'll start a four-part series on the general maintenance and troubleshooting of non-
video games. Until then, take care! "Bear"
