MUSIC MERCHANTS!
LET'S GIVE OUR HEARTY COOPERATION!
Hnirv Z. Stcimvav
The government has seen fit to establish a new ruling on in-
stallment credit on musical instruments and household appliances,
along with many other commodities. It is my opinion that the
progressive, live, wide-awake dealers will not accept this as a
detriment to their business, but as an aid and benefit and a chal-
lenge to their skillful management.
As President of the National Association of Music Merchants,
I ask, and would recommend, that we get better terms according
to President Roosevelt's recent order, directing restriction of con-
sumer credit to aid defense measures. Let's make every effort to
secure the best possible terms in our installment selling, to help
our government in accomplishing its aims. I know each and every
music merchant in America wishes to be cooperative and is sym-
pathetic with what the government finds desirable to effect manda-
torily.
1 have been impressed with the opinions of other leading dealers
regarding the matter, which coincide with mine, and am. therefore,
asking you to express editorially that music merchants are anxious
to give their fullest cooperation in the matter.
