PIANO FACTORY OT STORE SUPPLIES
PERIOD TONKBENCHES
Splendid Range of Designs and Finishes Ready
to Ship Promptly to Orders of
Music Dealers.
The Tonk Manufacturing Company, Chicago, has
answered the requirements of the dealers in their
demands for Period styles in Tonkbenches. It is a
characteristic, response of the company which makes
anticipation of the wants of the trade a rule.
Any style in Period designs may be matched with
a Tonkbench in mahogany, American or burl walnut
and with finishes in lacquer, dull finish, highlight or
solid color. The choice of beveled edge top, square
edge top or upholstered top is at the pleasure of
the dealers.
The Tonkbench is associated with correctness in
carrying out art and Period designs so that the trade
may have no doubts in ordering benches to go with
Period models in pianos. In fact, when the dealer
completes the sale of a piano with a Tonkbench he
absolutely assures his customer complete satisfac-
tion. There is a Tonkbench to match any piano in
style, finish and quality.
In addition to the prompt service of the main fac-
tory at 1912 Lewis street, Chicago, the western dealer
has the advantages of a similarly good service from
the Pacitic Coast factory at 4627 .East 50th street,
Los Angeles.
ENCOURAGING TOWN BAND.
'Wisconsin has joined with more than a score of
other states in recognizing the value of a town band
to its community. Any city, town, or village in the
state may levy a one-mill tax to organize, maintain,
or hire a band, under provisions of a bill passed by
the legislature and signed by Gov. Fred R. Zimmer-
man. The list of other states having permissive
legislation of a similar nature includes Iowa, Illinois,
Idaho, Kansas, California, Maryland, Michigan,
Montana, South Dakota, New Mexico, Nebraska,
North Dakota, Texas, Indiana, West Virginia,
Massachusetts, New York, Minnesota, Mississippi,
New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio,
South Carolina, Utah and Vermont.
