Improved End Trucks, Complete and Sturdy, Make
Moving Service of Ambitious Dealer the Best.
Every piano dealer is eager to make his service
the best, and the man ambitious to realize his desires
proceeds along the lines of greatest assurances. For
one thing he will properly equip his moving force and
supply it with the surest, quickest and safest aids to
responding with efficient service.
That means he will supply Selpo Trucks, made by
the Self-Lifting Piano Truck Co., Findlay, O., for
his piano movers. To enable them to do the best
work he will supply them with the best in end
trucks. These trucks are most complete and sturdy,
with a frame that is cross-braced and riveted, so it
cannot rock. In these trucks the bail has been
lengthened to increase its leverage.
The Self-Lifting Piano Truck Co* also carries a
line of sill trucks, piano hoists, covers and specially
made straps designed for the uses of the piano mover.
APPRECIATE GENNETT RECORDS.
The sale of the Perley Breed records at the Starr
Piano Co.'s headquarters, 221 Columbus avenue, Bos-
ton, distributors of Gcnnett products, is a strong fea-
ture of business this week. J. R. Fales, manager, is
well pleased with the returns of the sales, which indi-
cate that Perley Breed will become one of the most
popular artists on the Gennett records.
The an-
nouncement that Perley Breed and his Shepard Co-
lonial Orchestra are obtainable on Gennett records
has been made in all the New England towns.
Versatility is becoming the keynote of the ambi-
tious musician's endeavors. This is especialy true
of the saxophonist, who is finding that his progress
depends more and more upon his ability to play more
than one instrument.
The accompanying picture of Ralph Hilton gives
an idea of the mastery of instruments attained by
some players. Mr. Hilton is now playing at the
Union Square Theater with the Rudolph Orchestra,
of San Francisco, and he is a popular favorite with
the people of San Francisco and the Pacific Coast.
Among the various instruments shown in the picture
are Martin Handcraft Saxophones and a Martin
Handicraft Euphonium which Mr. Hilton prizes most
highly.

CONN SALES IN PORTLAND.
The power of a well arranged show window to sell
musical merchandise was proved last week in the
store of the McDougall-Conn Co., Portland, Ore.,
where a display of band instruments of C. G. Conn,
Ltd., Elkhart, Ind., was a rare attraction in the busi-
ness district. The contents of the window were not
for sale, being a collection for exhibition purposes,
but a large number of sales were made through the
help of the show.
