FAVOR STARR LOUD SPEAKER
All Sections of the Country Present Evidence of Sat-
isfaction for the Radio Part.
The Starr Load Speaker, made by the Starr Piano
Co.. Richmond, Ind., is receiving that satisfactory
kind of attention from the radio fans and the trade
that results in big orders. Exclusive radio dealers
and music merchants handling radio are alike strong
in enthusiasm for the Starr Loud Speaker. The tonal
qualities of the Starr speaker are acknowledged by the
California trade as reported by the Starr Piano Co.'s
branch in Los Angeles.
In New York and the metropolitan district gener-
ally the speaker is assured of wide distribution and
the strong wholesale connection is a force that is
bringing the merits of the speaker convincingly be-
fore the trade. The Capitol Distributing Co., Emer-
son Radio Co , the Herbert-John Corp. and others
representing the Starr Speaker at wholesale, report
a warm acceptance of the speaker by the retail trade.
In fact the speaker has taken exceptionally well with
the trade according to G. H. Keats of the New York
office of the Starr Piano Co.
MEET MR. REST
Eastern Hustler for Vocalstyle Company Rolls
Moved Quickly From Stockroom to Road.
One of the popular hustlers in the music roll in-
dustry is George J. Rest, of the New York branch of
the Vocalstyle Company, at 34 West Fifteenth street.
George, being naturally musical, took to the roll
business like a duck to water, we are told by "Vocal-
style News." He started with Vocalstyle the first
day the Eastern Branch was opened and took charge
of the stockroom, where he showed his interest in
the business by a careful study of the complete Vocal-
style Catalog. He soon knew all the best selling
numbers and why they sold so well. He quickly
learned how to tell a real "hit" number and showed
by close application and study that his opinion and

business judgment were correct regarding many
points in the sale of rolls. This, of course, carried
him right away from the stockroom, and his ability
to do bigger things well asserted itself. He now
