The modern factory of the Slingerland Mfg. Co.,
1815 Orchard street, Chicago, will be a place of un-
usual activity during the forthcoming convention of
music merchants at the Drake Hotel, in June.
"Plans have been made," said President H. H.
Slingerland to a Presto representative this week, "to
have our dealers come direct from the convention
headquarters to our factory, where they may inspect
the processes of banjo making. We will also have a
display at the factory which it is hoped will interest
dealers."
Mr. Slingerland, who is president of the Musical
Merchandise Manufacturers' Association, Chicago
zone, expressed the belief that Chicago manufactur-
ers of small goods would play an important part in
entertaining the convention visitors.

At the annual election of Talking Machine & Radio
Men's, Inc., held at Cafe Boulevard, New York, last
week, the following officers were elected: Irwin
Kurtz, president; Sol Lazarus, vice-president; E. G.
Brown, secretary, and Al Galuchie, treasurer. The
following vice presidents, in charge of the phonograph
division, were named: Nathan Goldtinger, Victor;
H. Duff, Aeolian; C. Abelowitz, Brunswick; Davis
Rosenbaum, Okeh. The vice-president for radio is
L. F. Roonev.
MERGER IN INDIANAPOLIS.
The Meskill Music Co., Indianapolis, has been con-
solidated with the Indianapolis Music House, 134
North Pennsylvania avenue, in the same city. The
consolidated company now carries complete lines of
Victor and Edison phonographs and records. A sale
of used and reconditioned machines is now being
held.
