ANNOUNCEMENT BY DEALERS.
The Symons Hardware Company, Plainfield, Ind.,
has increased the size of its music department and
uses the newspapers to refute a report that it had
discontinued its line. Our music department has been
moved into the hardware store proper to permit
lengthening the room vacated by W. S. Sosamon for
the Beechem Dry Goods Store. A report had gained
credence that we would discontinue our music line.
W r e will continue to furnish you the same high grade
service in phonographs, records and radio.
HE COULDN'T STAY AWAY.
W. N. LeVanway, one of the oldest and best known
men in the music trade in the Northwest has been
placed in charge of the small goods department of
the McDougall-Conn Music Co. of Portland, Ore.
Mr. Levanway retired from active business life
three or four years ago and contented himself with
giving a few lessons on the violin and trombone, but
the call of the music store life and the associations
it makes were too much for him and he returned.
John H. Christman, age eighty, a maker of violins
for twenty-five years, died last week at his home in
Dublin, Ind.
