PRIDE IN PIANO SALES.
In the Gulbransen Registering Piano sales contest
promoted by the Gulbransen Company, Chicago, for
salesmen in retail houses throughout the country, the
winner in the Parks Music House Co., Hannibal,
Mo., was F. A. Hurd, and the winner in the Louisi-
ana, Mo., branch of the firm was J. M. Hedges, man-
ager. They tied for first honors. Commenting on
the fact the Louisiana Tw r ice-a-Week Times says:
"It is remarkable that the men who made the
highest record in the state of Missouri should both
be connected with the same firm and that both lived
in town only twenty-five miles apart. It only goes to
show that good salesmanship wins no matter where
it is located and that the business is to be had if
you only go after it."
