INVITATIONS OUT
FOR SEEBURQ DINNER
Another Joyous Time for Trade Assured for
June 3, in Chicago Company's Rooms
at McAlpin.
The J. P. Seeburg Piano Company, Chicago, will
entertain the trade in the usual interesting and hos-
pitable manner during the week of the annual trade
convention in New York, June 1 to 7. The follow-
ing letter of invitation gives the details of the pleas-
ant event:
"You are cordially invited to our Second Annual
Merchants' Dinner at the McAlpin Hotel, Colonial
Room, Tuesday, June 3, 6:30 p. m. stag and informal!
Our reason for this dinner being stag is because it
is just a general get-together talk fest where prob-
lems of the coin-operated piano business are dis-
cussed. We will assemble in our display rooms, 314,
316 and 318, the McAlpin, at 6 p. m. Please be
prompt!
"If you attended our dinner last year in Chicago
you will know we had a good time. If you were
not there, be sure to be with us in X'ew York this
year.
"Sign the enclosed postal and return at once so
that we may know how many guests to provide for.
This is important. If any of your salesmen or tuners
are coming to the convention with, you, we hope to
have them with us also. Please indicate on the postal-
card how many of you will be in attendance. We
want you all. Cordially and sincerely yours,
" L E E S. JONES, Sales Manager,"
A JESSE FRENCH SMILER.
The latest advertising novelty put forth by the
Jesse French & Sons Piano Co., of New Castle, Ind.,
is one that will delight members of piano trade and
their young friends in prospects' families. It is a
card folder, so cut up as to separate one half of six
faces. The manner of folding the card makes a lot
of changes in the faces—all funny. Dealers in the
Jesse FYench instruments will pass the cards along
with good effect.
J. H. SHALE IN CHICAGO.
J. H. Shale, of the United Piano Corporation, Nor-
walk, Ohio, -was in Chicago late last week. He met
important engagements at the Auditorium Hotel and
made a number of calls among the dealers. The
A. B. Chase Grand is sold in Chicago by the Moist
Piano Co., on Wabash avenue, and it stands well
among capable musical critics.
The Thiery Piano Co., Milwaukee, has added the
Gennett line of talking machine records.
