Little if any business can be secured by the sales-
man who hangs around the office. Occasionally we
hear of some wizard who is so adept at using the
telephone that he can get prospects to come to the
store and there sell to them, says the Sewing Machine
Times. But, generally, the salesman who remains
seated at his desk longer than is necessary to attend
to his morning mail is losing money by the hour.
'Ware of the office chair habit! It produces ennui
and corpulence, but no business. Moreover, it has a
depressing effect on the whole staff. Therefore, when
visiting headquarters, if you are an outside salesman,
get in, get through, get out.
Rogers & Wilson, pioneer local music dealers,
Goshcn, Ind., has made extensive interior improve-
