BALDWIN IN SCHOOL CONCERT.
One of the most successful recitals of its kind ever
held in Baltimore, Md., in connection with the Pea-
body Summer School course was that given recently
at the Peabody Conservatory of Music by Austin
Conradi, pianist, when the artist used a Bajdwin
graiid piano, supplied by the Kunkel Piano Co., Bal-
timore, which also supplied a Baldwin grand for use
at the Maryland Theater recently in connection with
the act presented by Don C. Alfonso de Zelaya.
MUSIC IN IOWA.
The music memory contest in Iowa schools, as a
permanent and regular part of the curriculum, seems
to be firmly entrenched, and public grade schools all
have made provision to continue this good work with
the resumption of school classes.
Music dealers,
through co-operation on the part of the press, have
been largely responsible for its success. That the
music memory contest will spread to county and dis-
trict schools is certain.
