Are Occupied by Old Piano Firm.
Cohen & Hughes, Baltimore, Md., has opened
temporary retail piano warerooms at 225 West Sara-
toga street, where the Cohen & Hughes Victrola
jobbing headquarters is located. It is said the com-
pany is looking for a suitable store in a good loca-
tion in which its retail piano business will be re-es-
tablished.
The opening of the temporary store on Saratoga
street was somewhat of a surprise to the trade of
Baltimore, where it was considered that the com-
pany had quit the retail piano business when the
store on North Howard street was given up to the

BIG LINE OF VIOLINS.
The Ignaz Fischer Music House, one of the oldest
houses in Toledo, O., made a special display of
violins this week. The variety of makes and pur-
poses were stated in a violin ad in the newspapers.
Grades suitable for beginners, for advanced students
and for the most exacting professionals were shown.
The instruments were the product of the skilled vio-
lin makers of Austria, Italy and Germany. A com-
plete line of strings, cases, fittings and musicians'
supplies is carried by the house, which has a com-
petent corps of musical instrument repairers.
