Experience has taught that this is a pernicious
practice, as many thus sent out are returned after
being badly used and are damaged. The dealer either
puts them back into stock, to be sold to the next un-
suspecting customer, or he must "scrap" them, which
is a total loss.
You are sure of fresh records at Wamplers', free
from scratches, "needle digs," and other defects.
When records are sent out on approval they are
often played many times over, and when returned to
the dealer are "second hand" records. You are en-
titled to NEW records, and you get them at Wam-
plers'.
Curiously enough, the largest Victor distributor in
the Middle West, Lyon & Healy, has the smallest
operating Victrola in the world. It was made by
L. D. Monroe, an employe of the firm for many
years.
A miniature of the Victrola Style No. 16, it stands
one-tenth of the height of that model, just five inches
high. It is hand carved from solid mahogany and
completely equipped with library of albums, turn-
table, sound box, tone arm, etc., which all function
properly.
An electric motor, concealed inside, operates the
turntable upon which the needle rests in realistic
manner. Though mute, it is complete down to the Father of Widely-Known Member of the Industry

REMINGTON REPRESENTATIVE
A. L. Fordham, Appointed General Traveler for the
New York Industry, Starts at Once.
Sales Manager Everett H. Holmes has appointed
A. L. Fordham general wholesale representative for
the Remington Phonograph Corporation, and Mr.
Fordham leaves for his initial trip immediately.
Mr. Fordham is well known to the trade and has
had vast experience in the phonograph industry. He
wil be most happy to demonstrate the wonderful
Remington reproducer to the dealers upon whom he
calls from time to time and to explain the many ad-
vantages connected with the exclusive seling frna-
chise of the Remington agency.
Sales Manager Holmes has returned from a short
trip and found the dealers very anxious to receive
their fist shipment of Remington phonographs. He
also was able to establish many new exclusive Rem-
ington agencies during the trip.
