Major Theodore D. Steinway, after
recently being cited for and decorated
with the Bronze Star Medal, is now
on terminal leave, after which he will

Harmony School of Piano Tuning.
With an immediate influx of appli-
cations which came through the Vet-
erans Administartion, Mr. Cake found
his initial quarters too cramped and
has now leased larger quarters at 120
South Cameron St., where the school
will occupy a three story brick build-
ing with a basement the same size as
the upper floors, loading platform and
freight elevators, in all comprising
approximately 12,000 square feet of
floor space.

"With this set-up," said Mr. Cake,
we are putting in a case refinishing
department and will give the student
tuners the advantage which it will
afford them and it will enable us to
take a piano into the factory from
the various dealers in the city as well
as from our own private customers
and do a complete job on it at a
minimum of cost. We will maintain

retume his duties in one of the Stein-
way factories.
Captain John H. Steinway, third
son of President Theodore E. Steinway,
has recently been transferred from
Accra, West Coast of Africa, to La
Guardia Airfield in Long Island, N. Y.
Lieut, (j.g.) Frederick Steinway, on
leave from the Navy, was recently
married to Miss Mary K. Castle in
Tulsa, Okla.
Captain Charles G. Steinway, son
of Mr. Charles F. M. Steinway of
Steinway & Sons, is the Steinway cited
for and decorated with the Bronze
Star Medal and Purple Heart last year.
He also is at home on a leave from
the European theatre of war.
Carl T. Keppler, recently honorably
discharged, after three years service
in the Army, two of them overseas,
has returned to Steinway & Sons and
has resumed his duties as Advertising
Manager.

A very well planned and effective
broadside has been issued by the school
setting forth its plans. These include
a resident course, and a combination
course.
Resident Course
The resident course requires that
the student come to Harrisburg. The
regular schedule is six hours daily, five
days a week for training and practice.
A student may hasten graduation by
putting in longer hours. The total 240'
hours minimum study consists of: 10
hours of Unisons; 30 hours advanced
Unisons; 40 hours perfect fourths and
fifths; 40 hours on Equalized Temper-
ament; 120 hours regulation, repair,
