After four consecutive generations (over 324 years) in which the Mehlin family were directly connected with the musical
arts and piano manufacturing of Europe, Paul G. Mehlin established himself in New York City, 1853. During these 76
years he, his sons, and his grandsons have faithfully adhered to the family motto "Festina Lente" (created in Rome before
1408) and the old house of Paul G. Mehlin Sons is today under the same direct management and ownership of the original
