Hohner Key Accordions
Admirer of Gibson Banjo
September 24.—'With a large
supply of the Hohner Key Accordions the local
distributor, E. A. Sutphin, 925 Arch street, has
equipped itself to take care of the unprece-
dented demand for these instruments which
now prevails in this section. The Sutphin Co.
has been shipping large quantities of these in-
struments throughout the State of Pennsyl-
vania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
There just has been received at the Sutphin
warehouses a large assortment of imported
violins and cellos from German manufacturers.
E. A. Sutphin has been making the rounds of
the coal regions, and reports conditions in that
section are improving after a prolonged idle-
ness among the miners.

Banjo Day on the Farm
The Bacon Banjo Co. is well represented in
the accompanying photograph taken on Mon-
tana's farm at Meredith, N. H. D. L. Day,
PHILADELPHIA, PA., September 24.—One of the
leading exponents oi the banjo, Arthur Jarreti,
who comes to Philadelphia lor a long engage-
ment with the Ted Weems Orchestra, is a
booster tor the Gibson banjo, using that instru-
ment exclusively. During his stay here he
will give solos as well as ciance music "in broad-
casting from the Walton Hotel root, where the
Weems Orchestra is to play lor the season be-
ginning on September 23. This popular ban-
joist is using the Gibson Florentine, a $5U0 in
strument made by Gibson, Inc., Kalamazoo,
Mich.
Suffers Heavy Fire Loss
A large stock of sheet music and musical in-
struments was destroyed by a recent fire in the
warerooms of Bailey's Music, Inc., 710-712
Sprague avenue, Spokane, Wash. The loss was
estimated by officials of the company at
approximately $15,000, the greater part of which
was covered by insurance.

L. JVL Dillon Takes Agency
for Clark Music Go. Line
Lawrence M. Dillon, of Cortland, N. Y., has
taken over the agency for the line of musical
instruments handled by the Clark Music Co., of
Syracuse. He has opened a store in the Cort-
land House block.
Demonstrations will be conducted for a week,
after which Mr. Dillon plans to move the stock
to his residence, 18 Homer avenue.
