New Book Publications
Opening its Fall season the Edward B. Marks
Music Co. announces two new ukulele books,
"Goldy & Dusty's Book of Old-time Favor-
ites" and "Log Cabin Boys' Uke Book." Both
of these publications are sponsored by well-
known radio broadcasting artists, as the titles
suggest. In addition the Marks firm announces
the "Modern Clarinet Method for Beginners,"
by Roy M. Miller, the celebrated soloist with
Sousa's Band, and a new book by Dr. Sigmund
Spaeth entitled "Read 'Em and Weep." These
are oldtime songs described as t"hee songs you
forgot to remember."

songs for September release, all of which ap-
pear in the Feist initial offer arrangement:

by L. Wolfe Gilbert; "Precious," a fox-trot
song by the writer of "Sleepy Time Gal";
"Nell Gwynn," which is the theme number for
the Dorothy Gish picture of the same name;
"Beside a Garden Wall," a fox-trot ballad, and
"While the Years Go Drifting By," the newest
lyric effort of Gus Kahn with a melody by Joe
Burke. All of the numbers appear with ukulele
arrangements in the piano copies.
