John S. Caldwell, manager of the J. R. Reed
Music Co., of Austin, Texas, is the composer of
the song "The Corner That You Live In." The
music is set to words by the same writer and is
dedicated to Dr. George Green, pastor of the
First Baptist Church, of Austin. The song was
sung for the first time in Austin on Sunday eve-
ning, June 28. As a church hymn and as a
cheerful forward-looking message the number
should have wide appeal. Introduced in Aus-
tin it undoubtedly will find its way to other cen-
ters, as it is indeed a most unusual number.
G. K. Harris Broadcasts
Charles K. Harris, who appears occasionally
on the radio, recently took his entertainers over
to station WOR. Besides Mr. Harris himself,
he had the DeMille Trio and Miss Alvira La-
Moure, the latter a rising young prima donna,
who will shortly appear in grand opera. Mr.
Harris opened his program with his new waltz
song, "Danger In Your Eyes," and Miss La-
Moure sang Mr. Harris' latest barcarolle called
"I Knew." This latter, although only recently
released, has achieved wide popularity and is
being introduced by some of the most promi-
nent recital and concert singers as well as well-
known vaudeville stars.

PORTLAND, ORE., June 27.—According to the sheet
music dealers a big run has been made recently
on Villa Moret's "Just a Little Drink," Sha-
piro-Bernstein's "Oh Ah" and "Who Takes
Care of the Caretaker's Daughter," Feist's "Oh,
Katharina" and "Midnight Waltz." Of the bal-
lads Charles Wakefield Cadman's "A Rose for
Every Heart" and "June Brought the Roses,"
