Lifton Mfg. Co. Receives Orders From Alaska,
Peru, China and Germany in One Week's Mail
Koverite cases are steadily growing more
popular with music dealers and musicians, ac-
cording to reports from the Lifton Mfg. Co.,
New York, manufacturer of these cases. The
Koverite is the case which has the inside lining
with the special closing device which is now in
great use for various purposes, such as over-
shoes, tobacco pouches, golf bags, pocketbooks,
etc.
Music dealers throughout the country
have found that these cases are big favorites with
their customers, and they are ordering them in
big quantities for the holiday trade.
The demand for Koverite cases seems to be
covering the globe, according to Maurice Lifton,
sales manager of the Lifton Mfg. Co., who re-
ceived last week an order from a dealer in
Alaska for a substantial number of Koverite
and other Lifton cases. Other countries heard
from with Koverite orders are Peru, China,
Germany and China, all in one week's mail.
The Lifton advertising campaign is expected
to give considerable assistance to music dealers
who handle the Koverite line in creating a big
demand for the product, in the opinion of
Maurice Brooks, advertising manager of the
firm. At the present time there is a steady
campaign of Koverite advertisements running in
the professional musicians' magazines, such as
the International Musician, The Metronome and
Jacobs' Magazines. These advertisements are
in the form of testimonials from prominent mu-
sicians endorsing Koverite cases and include
such celebrities as Jascha Heifetz, Vincent Lo-
pez, Ben Bernie, Paul Specht, Max Rosen, Ce-
celia Hansen and others. This campaign is cre-
ating sales for Koverite dealers.
Another piece of sales ammunition for Kover-
ite cases is an attractive circular issued last
week by the Lifton Mfg. Co. The circular is in
two colors and printed on heavy paper. It fea-
tures the element of protection for the violin
with an illustration showing a violin dashed to
pieces on the ground after having fallen from
one of the old-fashioned cases.
